A Burning Country: War and Sectarianism

In the midst of war, on the eve of our annual peace march and a couple of days after Israeli aggression reached its peak in Beirut, the Director of Relief and Reconciliation Friedrich Bokern sheds light on the stark reality in the region. In this video we reflect on our experience in the midst of it, the rise of sectarian strife, and the cycle of grief that continues to be perpetuated without holding accountable the genocidal entities that’s inflicting so much pain on this region.

Emphasizing the necessity to hold on to hope and to continue doing what is right. For after such dark times, relief is earned through patience, and the path to reconciliation cannot be carved without sacrifice and faith.
