Planting A Seed In Winter

Winter exposes vulnerability. For many families, it means cold homes, rising needs, and difficult choices. In the past week, we have carried out fuel distributions to help households endure the season with warmth and dignity. In times like these, immediate support is not optional,it is essential.

But winter is not only a season of survival. It is also a season of planting. Seeds are placed into the soil during the rain, unseen yet full of potential, in preparation for harvest. This month, our theme — Planting a Seed in Winter — reflects this belief. Across all our centers, gardens have been planted as a living symbol of resilience. Even in the coldest months, growth begins quietly beneath the surface.

At the same time, many Syrian families are returning to Syria. Their return is often to damaged homes and limited resources, to communities that still require rebuilding. The need does not disappear with return; it simply changes form. Solidarity must remain constant.

Healing others means standing with them consistently, in emergency response and in long-term investment. It means choosing to act, even when the results are not immediately visible.

Planting a seed in winter is an act of commitment. With your support, we can continue meeting urgent needs today while building the foundations for stability and renewal tomorrow.

Every contribution strengthens our mission and helps us move forward. You can stand with R&R by joining us as an international volunteer or by making a donation that supports our work on the ground.
