Education by Discovery for the sake of self-empowerment

In this video, our Chairman, Friedrich Bokern, shares the educational philosophy that shapes the work of Relief & Reconciliation’s educational Centres in Lebanon and Syria. At the heart of our approach is a simple conviction: children learn best when they are encouraged to discover, question, create, and participate actively in their own learning.

Rather than relying solely on traditional teaching methods, our programmes embrace Active Learning, where project based activities, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking help children develop not only academic knowledge but also confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Alongside our educational programmes, we have a children psychologist who joins our centres every week to support children who may need additional emotional or psychological guidance, helping us create learning environments where every child feels safe.

If this vision resonates with you, we invite you to become part of our mission.
