Volunteer with us in Lebanon
At our Peace Centre in the north of Lebanon, we are welcoming throughout the year dedicated men and women who are motivated to gain a unique experience helping refugees and home communities in the field. International volunteers are the heart and soul of our Peace Centre. Working and living together on the humanitarian front-line, our international volunteers receive free food and accommodation.
International volunteers are directly involved in implementing an innovative approach to assisting the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon. As part of our ethos to bring people from different backgrounds together, they combine forces with local teachers in organising and implementing educational and recreational activities for children and adolescents of Syrian refugee and Lebanese host communities. They also help to communicate with their countries of origin and the rest of the outside world to raise awareness for our cause. Despite the difficult conditions in Lebanon, we have stood our ground since 2013 and we have welcomed international volunteers every year since then, also in times of Covid-19 and civil unrest. The youth we serve is in need, today more than ever. We are recruiting international volunteers for the following categories

We ask for your understanding that we have to stick to a couple of criteria for the selection of our volunteers at the R&R Peace Centre in Lebanon. Most notably, we have to insist on the minimum age and on some experience in the work we do. However, even if you do not fulfil the criteria to be selected as a volunteer at the R&R Peace Centre, you can support our mission from home by becoming an Associate Member of R&R International.
We do not have any overhead staff. All those supporting our work abroad are volunteer members. Also your help is needed. Here some ideas of what you can do:

Long-term
Volunteer Assistants for 3 months renewable in fixed annual terms:

Project Volunteers between 2 and 6 weeks at any time of the year
Our first Peace Centre in Bkarzla, Lebanon, is the place of residence for international volunteers.
Beautifully situated in a Christian village midst in a mixed area that has not seen open violence in the past decades.
