How to contribute?
You can donate from any part of the world if you have a bank account, a credit/debit card or a PayPal account. Just click on one of the two buttons or make a wire transfer to our bank account, as indicated below:
Please note: for donations inside the EU (SEPA countries), it is much more cost-efficient to make a direct transfer to our bank accounts in Belgium or Germany.
Please never write “Syria” or “Syrie” in your bank transfer, neither in the name or the subject line! It will most certainly trigger an automatic refusal by the banks.
In the subject line of your donation, you can indicate your full name and address to receive an official receipt in the beginning of the following year. Also please write "YES, I agree to be published" if you agree that we publish your name in the donors' registry on our website. We are publishing all single donations on our website, either as anonymous donation or if you agree with your name. It would be a great help to have your agreement. Why is that? In sensitive areas like Lebanon, there is much suspicion about the source of funding. Publishing your name helps us protect our staff. Please contact us via this secure form if you don't have a credit/debit card or if you have any other question! We will find a solution. 500x10 for the Peace Centre
Since our establishment in 2013, our volunteers have been living and working on the Syrian border in the North of Lebanon at the premises of our first Peace Centre. The Peace Centre is the heart and soul of our operations. It is an open house for the youth of all communities where international volunteers live and work together with local staff members and teachers to make a change.
We need €5,000 each month to keep our Peace Centre and our camp school up and running. This covers the house rent, the working and living costs of up to 10 international volunteers and the salaries of our local staff members and teachers. We want our Peace Centre to be independent and sustainable. For this reason, we wish to rely exclusively on private donations to cover our basic operational costs.
We are currently looking for 500 persons from around the world to support the subsistence of the first Peace Centre with a regular donation of €10 every month. And if you can give more, you'd help us to reach this goal quicker. Become a Patron of the Peace Centre!
All you need to do is to contact us via the contact form on our website or by sending an email to [email protected].
We will get back to you as soon as possible with detailed information. Alternatively, you can simply start a monthly payment to one of our bank accounts, listed above, or via the two "Donate" buttons on top of this page. You maintain full control over your money and you can end the monthly contributions at any time. The "Donate" buttons are handled by PayPal, which takes a fee of about 7% for each donation. For this reason, bank transfers are often the cheaper solution. Thank you for your help!
Our work over the past four years has shown on a small scale that peace is possible, but we need your help to allow it to grow and flourish. Even if you cannot give much, you can help us to spread the word. Please promote our initiative within the circle of your families, colleagues and friends! Please follow us on Facebook or Twitter and organise a fundraiser for us in your home town!
We’re in this for the long haul. Are you? |
